A house in Swallow Fields, Andover on Fire

Hampshire Fire & Rescue have been dealing with a fire in a two storey detached building this morning on Swallowfields in Andover.

The ground and first floor were 100% affected by the fire. Ten breathing apparatus sets, two hose reels and a jet were used to extinguish the fire.

Fifteen firefighters including an appliance from Wiltshire and a senior manager attended the incident.

The cause is being investigated.

Andover & Villages spoke to a neighbour who said, “We were woken at around 2.30am by all of the flashing lights, but prior to that we had heard absolutely nothing, we didn’t even know that it was that house that was on fire, I just can’t believe it.”

Police confirmed to Andover & Villages that no one was injured in the fire.

The house had been sold this week by local Andover Estate Agent, Graham & Co. Whilst Police and Investigators were on the scene, the ‘For Sale’ board was updated with a Sold board.
