Members of the public that were at Andover Leisure Centre at the same time as the confirmed Coronavirus case, have been told to self-isolate by the NHS advice line, 111, however other members of the public who were at the centre at the same time are being advised to go about their normal daily routine unless they are showing symptoms.

Earlier today (Sunday 8th March 2020) Andover Leisure Centre announced that a grandad collecting his grandchild from the swimming pool at the centre had since been confirmed as having the potential killer virus that is sweeping the nation.

As a result of the confirmed case being in the centre, Places Leisure have closed for the minimum of 24 hours to undertake a ‘deep cleanse’.
The local man who has been confirmed as having coronavirus is reported to have been at the centre on Saturday 7th March 2020 between 3-4pm, he did not enter the water and remained ‘dry side’.
Anyone who was at Andover Leisure Centre at the time or afterwards is advised to phone 111 for advice.
