The lorry driver whose vehicle collided with stationary cars on the A34 has pleaded guilty to killing a mother and three children in an eight-vehicle crash in Berkshire.
A woman and three children were killed in the crash on the A34 in Berkshire between the West Ilsley and Ridgeway junctions on the northbound carriageway on August 10th.
The collision involved four lorries and four cars.
The court was told it would be shown a video shot by a camera inside the lorry cab which shows Mr Kroker using the phone, and “the fast-approaching queue of vehicles.”
Tracey Houghton, 45, her two sons, Ethan, 13, and Joshua, 11, and her partner’s daughter Aimee Goldsmith, 11, died in the crash.
The incident closed the northbound carriageway for about 12 hours.
Kroker, admitted four counts of causing death by dangerous driving and one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and was remanded in custody to appear for sentencing at Reading Crown Court on 31st October 2016.
