Thousands from Test Valley had turned up-to-the opening of the state-of-the-art Andover Leisure Centre and hundreds before 6.00am.
The newly built leisure centre has improved facilities which visitors can now benefit from such as squash courts a 165-station gym, a splash pad, clip ‘n’ climb area and a cycling studio.
The £18million pound project also benefits from a three-storey adventure play area with a range of tunnels and slides for children to explore.
Also including a six-lane 25-metre main pool and a teaching pool with a ‘moveable’ pool and adjacent sauna and steam room, and an eight-court multi-use sports hall and various other studios.
It’s believed one thousand had turned up by mid-day.
The demolition of the former leisure centre has already begun, with the gyms, studios and café all being torn down.
