Several members of the Andover Fitness League visited the Salvation Army charity shop in Andover this week to present a cheque for £150 to the Salvation Army.

The ladies regularly hold coffee mornings and raffles to help raise money for local charities. This month they decided to donate the money to the Salvation Army in recognition of the significant and valuable support they give to the Andover community.

Anne Horner has been teaching for the Fitness League since June 2008 and commented ‘In my classes I aim to improve posture, co-ordination, muscle tone, as well as mobilise and strengthen joints and increase cardiovascular fitness. I hold classes on Monday mornings; 10.00 – 11.00 at St John the Baptist Church, Alexandra Road, Andover, primarily for men and women over 60. I also have a Monday evening class for ladies 18 – 85 at St Thomas Church Hall, Charlton.’ For more information contact www.thefitnessleague.com.
