The packed auditorium of Harrow Way School in Andover was alive with music and dance last night as local dance group Oblivion wowed their audience. The group, managed by Tanya Tuson, was taught to dance by Tee Minya, who appeared as part of Nemesis, a street dance group who were finalists on Britain’s Got Talent in 2008.

The show was put on to allow the children, who range in age between 7 and 21, to show their parents the fruits of their hard work. Tanya told Andover and Villages they hoped to raise enough money to buy jogging bottoms for all of the children. The group works hard to the fund themselves having previously packed bags at a local supermarket to raise the money for their branded T-shirts.

Talking during the pre-show rehearsal, Tanya said that in addition to the 40 children already with the group, another is opening next week with a further 15 children. They are also starting an adult group for people aged 21 and over.

Clearly very excited, the children performed their routines effortlessly to the delight of those watching. Do we have another group of Britain’s Got Talent finalists in our own Town? Watch this space!
