Andover Businesses got into the swing of things for Macmillan Coffee Morning this morning. A wide range of shops and businesses hosted a coffee morning, with tea, coffee, cold drinks and most importantly CAKE!
Lulu’s Women’s Clothing in Waterloo Court, hosted a coffee morning allowing visitors to chat, eat cake and fundraise, whilst browsing and buying the beautiful new autumn/winter collection of clothes that are in store this week, Louise told Andover & Villages, “I’m taking part in the Macmillan Coffee morning in honour of my cousin, who is 36 and living with a brain tumour. Last year she raised £25,000 for Macmillan and is a constant inspiration to me. It’s been lovely to welcome friends and passers by into the shop this morning, raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”
Coffee Mornings were also on in Dunnings Funeral Parlour, Stuart Erskine Hairdressers, Andover Care Home, Martial Art World and the Simply Health shop in the chantry centre.
No doubt, a great amount of money was raised at the various events, along with the coffee mornings’ operating in people’s own homes across the town.
Lulu’s will be running a second Macmillan fundraising coffee morning tomorrow, Saturday 26th Sept from 10-2pm.
