Andover & Villages has entered into a collaboration with Andover’s own Local radio station, Andover Beat.
The radio station has recently become a Community Interest Company and hopes to have their FM licence by the end of the year.
News featured on Andover Beat will now come directly from Andover & Villages.
Speaking to Mo Sweeney, one of the Andover Beat Directors, he said, “It’s been quite a journey over the past year, of which this is just the beginning. We are now a C.I.C and currently looking to secure a venue within the town centre. It is a large and ambitious project indeed, but one that is attainable and sustainable, one of which that will help to improve the already vibrant Andover community.
“We aim to have acquired an FM frequency within the next year, and are already involved in some large community events. With the larger plans already coming into scope, including the A-fest, we would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
