Aldi Applies for Signage PermissionHot on the heels of ALDI’s planning application permission for a new food store on the Weyhill Road in Andover, they have now requested permission for the store’s signage.

The application requests permission for 5 signs across the 1596 sq m foodstore.

If the application is accepted, four of the signs will be mounted on the sides of the building, however one of the signs will be the ‘Site Entrance’ sign, which will be a freestanding internally illuminated double-faced double post-mounted sign. The sign is proposed to be sited at the vehicular access to the site.

ALDI is moving quickly to redevelop the site and is looking to have the store open and trading by spring 2016. ALDI will start recruiting for the new store roles six weeks ahead of store opening.

ALDI was recently voted the UK’s top supermarket by Which? for the second year running as well as ‘Grocer of the Year’ at The Grocer Gold Awards.
