Local News | A303 Body Identified by Police | Andover & VillagesWiltshire Police have confirmed following DNA tests, the body of a man found lying in a field by the A303 near to the villages of Teffont and Chilmark has been identified as Miroslaw Wisniewski (known as Mirek), aged 54, originally from Lublin, Poland, but recently living in the Reading area.

Police had been investigating the incident since a member of the public contacted them on Thursday 21 September 2017 after the body was found in a field a short distance from the A303.

Extensive enquiries were carried out and the man has now been identified and his next of kin informed.

In addition to this and as a result of the detailed police investigation, two men, aged 38 and 45, from the Thames Valley area, have been arrested on suspicion of preventing a lawful burial.

The two men are currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station where they are being questioned.

At this time, the cause of death is still to be determined pending further toxicology tests.
