Local News | A-Board Licensing Scheme Goes AheadAndover’s A-Board Licensing Scheme is set to go ahead with traders being invited to apply to Hampshire County Council for a licence.

A letter sent out to shop keepers in Andover Town Centre urges them to apply for a licence before 30th April so that they can be part of the scheme, thereafter public notice will be served in order for any representations against the applications. Licences are expected to be issued in June 2015.

An eight page document from Hampshire County Council (which can be seen by clicking the link below) explains the background and details of the scheme.

The cost of the licence scheme is £50 per year and applications must have Public Liability Insurance.

The documents suggest that traders must also ensure that they have advertising consent from TVBC, it is unclear if this means traders will need to apply for planning permission prior to licence application.
