Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to a serious assault on a 20 year old man last night in Tidworth.

Officers from Salisbury CID are appealing for information from anyone in the area of Station Road, Tidworth on Friday 11 November 2016 between 8pm and 8.45pm.

A 20-year-old man was injured and was taken to Salisbury District Hospital where he received treatment and was later discharged.

An 18-year-old man from Tidworth has been arrested in relation to this and is currently in custody. Acting Det Sgt Michelle Hilton said: “We’d would like to hear from anyone in the area who either saw or heard anything suspicious.

“This would have been a busy time around these shops on a Friday evening and several people may have seen this group.”
